is there any software available which can enhance a shot taken on a 2 megapixel phone camera to produce a decent sized print that is not to grainy. -

One word, Photoshop Photoshop Photoshop Photoshop.
It's the Don for all your image editing and fine tuning etc. May seem like a scary program at first but check the video tutorials for the basics of what you'll need to get you going.
