I gather this is a relatively new site, well i am par with the site when it comes to photography. I am raz, 33 from north yorkshire and i am wanting to take up this hobby on a bigger scale..ie...actually going out to take photos...lol i have recently being given a camera which is identical to the one in the video tutorials...lucky i suppose.. anyway, any help or info would be greatly recieved...
Hi Raz, Sorry for the slow reply. As you mentioned, it's a new site that we're slowly building so the forum will take time to grow with members etc. It's lucky you got the same camera as the tutorials. They're pretty much like cookers though. Once you know how to use one model then you can switch to other makes. Stuff's just in slightly different places but does same thing. My photography advice would be to go through all the tutorials and pause them and play with your camera to get the hang of what the tutorial is saying. Once you feel comfortable then just start shooting. Everyone gets frustrated at first when it won't capture stuff as you want but be patient. No pun intended but it will suddenly click with you and you'll be able to read the light and structure of something without really thinking. P.S- If you hit the display button it will let you know what settings you shot on. This will help you learn. P.P.S- If people aren't replying quick enough to your questions just chuck us an email and we'll get someone on it. Happy shooting pal.
